Liz -
So today was the final day of my work course and I made it through whilst resisting the temptation to pick uip a bag of crisps / have a chocolate bar there to help me stay focused and concertate. I kept an eye on my water intake - although makes training difficult at times when your bursting to go and waiting for the next break but I made it through.
We had our first dinner out of the house tonight, we went round to see Mike's parents - we pre-prepped our dinner and took it round in our dish so all it required was 10mins in the oven and it was ready to eat, we tried tikka curry powder in it today and it made it taste like a whole new meal. This meant we were all able to enjoy a nice meal together and we didn't have to worry about what we were going to be eating. It was lovely for lockdown to be lifted enough to allow us to go and do this, it's been a tough year that's for sure and we've missed having meals with family.
Vanilla tescoslim shake is now my new favourite - it honestly does taste like icecream, it's amazing. I will keep this one on the shopping list for sure.
Now on to the bad bits, the wind is back! Ever since lunch yesterday it's not been good for me. Let's just say i'm glad to be working from home. I made it through band last night (don't worry anyone from band reading this I held it all in till I got home), I thought it would wear me out more than it did, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself and it was so nice to see others again and sit and have a good blow (of my Baritone!) again. I wonder if it's ythe cauliflour rice that gives me the gas, but I think it's just the amount of vegtables that my body isn't used to. Let's hope it clears in the next few days - I think Mike is hoping this too. The candles are worth a purchase if anyone decides to take this journey.
Mike -
My mind is fully focused again now and i had another good day. Vanilla shake whilst driving to work and i have more and more people noticing my weight loss as time goes on. More and more people have been asking questions which is nice and it's good to have such positive feedback. Had my end of year review which went really well and i feel like i can do anything at the moment.
When i came home i prepped our dinner to take to my mum and dads. We had a very nice evening with them and despite eating differently to them i didn't feel like i was missing out as our dinner was lovely. It was nice to be able to go and see them and spend proper time with them after what has been a very hard last 12-14 months with COVID.
We went to Sainsburys after leaving the rents and decided to get another pair of the jeans Liz got me the other day. I wanted a lighter pair and said rather than getting the same size i would try another size down. Liz said she wasn't sure i would fit in them yet but i said its something else to work towards if they didn't quite fit yet. Got home and they fit comfortably. Whoop whoop. I have dropped 2 trouser sizes in just under 3 weeks.
The only thing i have noticed in myself is that i do seem to be smoking more on this diet. Could be a crutch to replace hunger but it's something i need to keep an eye on. Otherwise i am fit as a fiddle.
Carpe Diem 4L
