Mike -

Another week done and another great result for me on the scales. Another 9lb shipped this week and 2 stone 1lb gone so far in total. I knew that i would lose weight fast on such a restrictive diet but i could never have expected how dramatic it would be. Clothes that haven't been on for years all of a sudden fit me perfectly.

It's been a nice chilled day today. I stayed in bed and read whilst Liz went to the gym and then up and out with Lexi for her daily walk. Hargate forest was busy but nice as there was no rain. Ran into Sainsburys on the way home for the ingresitents needed for the vegetable curry i was making today. We then weighed in and showered and i think we were both in shock at what we had achieved this week. We enjoyed a shake on the terrace together and then popped out to see some of Liz's friends which was nice. We came home and needed to print loads of paperwork off which seemed to take up most of the afternoon and then i went and cooked dinner for us. I have always enjoyed cooking but the flavour i am getting in to these dishes is incredible. I hope people read and try the recipes we have been using as we have enjoyed every meal so far.

As for tonight it's quality time with my girl and a film. Life couldn't be better

Liz—

Today has been non stop for me. First the gym, a good arm & core workout today to wake me up, then straight off out on a dog walk with Lexi & Mike. This was muddy & horrible but Lexi enjoyed herself so that's the main thing. Then home to weigh in and grab a quick shower before we went off to see my friends in Uckfield (whom I haven't seen since lockdown first began!). Home to print all my documents for moving house and then before i knew it dinner was being served! Veg curry toinight cooked by Mike and it was incredible.

What can I say about weigh in except wow - I was not expecting that. As I previously said at this time in the month i'd usually be binging on chocolate and crisps and feeling sorry for myself whilst putting on about 3lbs. So to loose 4lbs I can't complain. I couldn't believe it when I read the scales, and I did weigh myself twice just to check it wasn't a wrong reading. 3 weeks in and over a stone lighter - I must be doing something right.

As promised we have shared a couple of recipies with you all today & we will try and do the same again tomorrow.

I am enjoying this journey more than I thought and more than anything I'm super proud of Michael for his achievement and I can't wait for his call with the GP next week when he tells him of his progress so far. I'm glad to be supporting him on this journey & I'm pleased he decided (well listened to me!) to embark on this huge lifestyle change. This is just the beginning for us.

Phase 2 Update

I have to say that sticking to phase 2 is still presenting a real challenge. Still not quite finding the right balance. Water consumption...
