Liz -

Another busy day, leading me to think about food! I just can't get away from the thought of my favourite meals, or even a cheeky bag of crisps.

Last night working in the pub I found one of our regulars ordered a pint and a couple of bags of cheese and onion crisps (one of ny favourite go to flavours) I felt like saying do you need a hand eating them, but I refrained on this ocassion. It's hard working around alcohol and crisps/nuts/chocolate/homemade yorkshires (the best ones i've ever tasted) but I resisted temptation and I took homemade veg curry for myself and Dawn to enjoy together - which we very happily did - although Mike assures us there were mushrooms in it, he must have had them all as we didn't!

Today I made the mistake of having a chcolate shake for breakfast - don't know why, it's just the first packet I pulled out the cupboard. I much prefer vanilla or banana for breakfast, I must remember not to rush my morning decisions. I then had a lovely vanilla shake this afternoon and we cooked a beautiful stir fry for dinner - although i'm feeling rather bloated now.

Chcolate shake later and i'll be set for the day.

I'm starting to struggle with my water intake, I just feel like i'm flooding my body but I must remember to drink this each day to ensure I have enough fluids in my body.

Mike went shopping today to get some milk and came home with a few surprises for me, First he got me a lovely bunch of carnatioins, my favourtie flowers - just to put a smile back on my face. He also bought me a new outfit, some jeans (the next size down) and a lovely top. I tried these on and must say they didn't look bad, he does well shopping. Ok so the jeans may have been petite jeans so are slightly short but they fit and will work well with my nice boots - thank you Mike, one very happy girlfriend.

We've got a tough week ahead of us, lots of things to do and plenty of stress whilst we try and sort out moving etc but we can and will do this, we have each other to stay focused and that's what matter the most. Together we achieve.

Mike -

Tired day today. I struggled to get out of bed this morning and seemed to lack motivation to sieze the day. I struggled out of bed, had a shower and went off to work. Once i got there i was fine and got all my work done. We had another group session to help us deal with Jack's on-going issues. It was informative and made me think. Probably too much.

On the way home i decided it was my turn to treat Liz. She has been a bit down the last couple of days so i thought now would be a good time to treat her and give her a pick me up. Flowers is easy i know the flowers she liked and i decided that like she did for me i would get her a new outift to show off her weight loss. I was fully focused on getting the size right and then failed to take in to consideration the style. I thought pettite was just like a fancy brand name or something. Who knew. But she tried them on and i thought they looked nice so it wasn't a complete disaster. The top was a success and looked really good on her.

Whilst Liz finished working i took Lexi out for a walk which gave me time to think. I put my tunes on and off we went. It was all very damp and muddy but it was nice to get out for a wander.

When we got back Liz had finished work so we washed away the stress of the day and got in to our lounge wear and she made a lovely stir fry for dinner. A few more days and it will be 4 weeks in to the programme. More and more we joke about takeaway for dinner but neither of us are going to relent or give in. A chocolate shake to go this evening and it's another day ticked off.

Carpe Diem 4L

Phase 2 Update

I have to say that sticking to phase 2 is still presenting a real challenge. Still not quite finding the right balance. Water consumption...
