Liz -

I had an excellent nights sleep last night for a change and woke up this morning feeling fresh - although it may not have seemed this way when Lexi nagged at me till I got up and let her out, just to have a look round the garden! However jumped in the shower and off to work I went. I thought to myself, I feel good today, a better nights sleep and I feel refreshed again just what I need.

I managed to drink all my water and some yesterday and today i'm on track to finish my water and I've had a few cups of tea to warm me up - so my liquid intake is progressing back in the right direction.

Had a busy day at work today so didn't have time to think about not eating which is how I like my days to be. Take your mind away from boredom and you don't feel the need to snack. Although I got stressed a couple of times, and maybe ranted a bit at my boss (if you read this sorry!) I did calm down a lot quicker than I have done before and I went back into a relaxed state quicker. This has got to be a positive right?

We have managed to sell our trampoline before we move and so today after work (and a dog walk for me) we started to take this down ready for collection. Lets just say tempers ran high, I think we both had a fairly short fuse whilst completing this task, although I must say I did enjoy smacking some poles with the hammer this made me feel good about the day.

Mike cooked us a lovely tomato and basil soup for dinner, although as I type this he's eaten his and i'm still waiting for mine to cool down enough to eat - think I may have burnt my tounge. Still the taste of it is nice, just needs something extra to thicken it up somehow, still one to try again and work on till we get it right.

I've got another busy day tomorrow which is good and then the gym in the evening, lets hope I drop 1-2lbs this week as I do feel like I've come to a bit of a standstill with the weight loss.

I'm still super proud of Mike for continuing on this journey, and although we may have different standards on how to fold a trampoline I hope he knows I'm proud of him and that he's not a bad cook - it's edible Mike.

Mike -

A good nights sleep for me too last night and i woke feeling very rested. It turns out that water retention was a problem for me and after my numerous trips to the toilet yesterday i was back on track and losing weight. Jumped in the shower and went off to work with my shake. Work went well and was done before i knew it so i was on my way home. I dropped in to have a cup of tea with my mum on the way home which meant Liz had to take Lexi out on her own. Was nice to see my mum and have a chat with her.

When i got home i was reminded that we needed to take the trampoline down. I am really useless at DIY and putting things up and down. It is just not my thing at all. I try but i am more of a hinderence than a help. It also turns out that when we sell things second hand they have to be presented neat and tidy. Again this is a bit of a foreign concept to me. Sold as seen surely?

I made us tomato and basil soup for dinner. It was easy enough to make but a bit watery. It needed a bit more blending as well but the overall flavour was really nice. I prefered the other 2 we have had but this one was nice too.

Water is all gone for the day and tonight i will sit and suffer and hope my team can win the europa league whilst making many many trips to the toilet. No doubt to the delight of Liz. 2 more days at work and then a week off to look forward to

Carpe Diem 4L

Phase 2 Update

I have to say that sticking to phase 2 is still presenting a real challenge. Still not quite finding the right balance. Water consumption...
