Day 38

Liz -


A busy day today, gym first thing this moirning - boy did that ache, shows i haven't been for a week + but i made it through with arm day then a nice warm shower to start the day well.

I cracked on with my work and caught up with everything I needed to before our parenting course started. This was good again this weekend and we were able to share some of our holiday experiences. Then back to work I went, it felt like a long day at work today, probably because I haven't had to concentrate for that long in a while. But I made it through with 2 shakes (1 vanilla and 1 chocolate) to get ne through the day along with my daily water intake. Again though I seemed to be making regular trips to our favourite room, last week I was able to hold for longer but now the loo is right next to me I seem to visit on a regular ocassion.

We played a game of cribbage on the terrace before it had cooled down enough to take Lexi for her daily walk. Bless her she's so impatient on hot days and just wants to get going but we don't dare take her in the middle of the day with her coat of fluff. We made it round our walk in good time and picked up the pace compared to normal, although Michael does sometimes forget I have little legs and strides off, I end up doing 3 steps to his every 2 and still not keeping up with him lol!

Mushroom curry again for dinner tonight with beansprouts and it was so tasty it was amazing, one of new favaourites.

We then had a nice chat with my grandparents (regular Monday evening activity) and it was lovely to hear them getting out and about a little bit more now they have had both vaccines and Covid is easing off here.

We have a chilled evening now with a couple more games of cribbage and some TV, another early night is required as we are still recovering from last weeks antics.

3 more weeks to go and we can start the next phase, we've got plenty planned between now and then but nothing will stand in our way of completing these 8 weeks.

First day back at work today. I didn't even hear Liz get up to go the gym this morning. The first thing i knew was her coming up to say good morning to me when she got back. I spent the morning catching up with what i had missed from work over the last week and re-aclimatised myself with what i need to do over the next couple of weeks. Breakfast and lunch were both vanilla shakes which went down a treat.

After i caught up with work i spent an hour or so reading my book and then had a cheeky nap on the sofa whilst Liz was still working. My intention was to take Lexi for a walk around 3pm but it was just too hot to take her out. So me and Liz sat and played cards for a while and then had dinner before taking Lexi out for a walk. I wanted to push myself today whilst walking to burn a few extra calories off but Liz was still aching from her morning Gym session and i ended up leaving her behind a few times. I have decided that now we are over 5 weeks in and my body has adapted well to the change its time to start introducing a bit more exercise to keep my momentum of weight loss going and to start shaping my body how i want it to look.

This evening we have some time together which as we come out of restrictions will be harder to find so i plan to make the most of it while it is still there.

The rest of the week is all about routine routine routine and shredding more of these excess pounds.
