Liz -

A good day today, still stressed but today I didn't think about food so much. I knew I was going out this evening with my team so I focused my energy on staying strong and not eating / drinking alcahol.

I had 2 vanilla shakes throughout the day - the second one slightly later than planned but I got into something at work and didnt notice the time. After work I then met up with some of my team from work, first time we have all seen each other in about a year so was nice to get together. Whilst they sat there downing their 2 for 1 cocktails I drank my 2.5 pints of diet coke. I must say they were impressed with my will power as their cocktails did all look very nice, but I stuck to my diet coke and I was pleased I did.

Tomorrow is the start of the weekend and for us the start of week 7! I have a bbq tomorrow with the girls and I will be taking my veg skewers for the bbq and a spare shake for if they have desert lol! I'm looking forward to seeing them all again and the forecast is looking good for us to sit in the garden to have our catch up. I then have work in the evening and with the EURO's on this will keep me busy and my focus away from the crisps and chcolate behind the bar that I used to love snacking on throughout my shift. We then have a busy day Sunday too, so the weekend should fly by without the usual weekend temptations.

I must admit it wss lovely to see my team this evening and it was nice to catch up in person, I can't say I overly miss drinking however the odd glass of wine here and there or odd bottle of gin wouldn't go a miss.

Here's to week 7 and staying strong. 2 more weeks to go and then we can add some meat back into our diet.

Mike -

Had a good day again today. I still woke up feeling a bit rough but it seemed to pass quite quickly once i had a shower. I got myself sorted out and headed off to work. I went in casual clothes today and picked out a polo shirt i hadn't been able to wear for a long time and now it's loose. Shows off my new figure nicely. Work went quickly and then it was off to pick Jack up from school. Missed the little man and he looked so pleased to see me when i picked him up which was lovely. I had to make a pitstop on the way home and went back to the garage where pistachio gate took place. I wasn't drawn in this time though and was soon back on the road to home.

This evening was me and Jack time whilst Liz went out. He was worn out after school so just wanted to sit and watch his videos on the tv so i read for a little while as he watched them. Made him dinner and we had some quality time together whilst he ate, then he had a bath and then i sat with him whilst he went off to sleep.

Tomorrow is weigh in day and i hope i have continued to shred weight as i have so far. As Liz keeps reminding me this isn't just about losing weight but i'm killing two birds with one stone. Losing weight which i have needed to for so long and improving my health (i hope). It's crazy that we will have completed 6 weeks tomorrow. We have a busy couple of weeks coming up so before we know it we will have reached the end of phase 1.

Carpe Diem 4L

Phase 2 Update

I have to say that sticking to phase 2 is still presenting a real challenge. Still not quite finding the right balance. Water consumption...
