Liz -

A good day so far (still got the evening to get through yet). I woke up and although I initially felt tired once i'd had a shower this soon passed. I had a vanilla shake but again forgot about it and didn't realise till 10:30 I hadn't had one yet. I punched on with work and got everything upto date before I left at 1pm to begin the packing. We have got a fair amount done today so far which is good and i've got my friend (and sister in law) Nat coming round to help me with some more this evening whilst Mike casually finishes the lounge packing whilst watching the footie.

We have a busy week ahead and it's important we stay hydrated and that we have our 3 shakes and 1 veg meal a day to keep our energy levels up - if we don't I can just see now we will argue. I mean my way of packing and Michael's are very different for sure!

We have collected our moving boxes (thanks Deb & Nick) and we will be filling these as quickly as we can so hopefully we get a small amount of time to chill out before we officially move on Tuesday.

Why anyone would want to move whilst following this process I have no idea, I wouldn't recommend it as tensions have run high a few times where we are easier to annoy / our stress levels are increased / my aggistation levels are lower. But then everyone gets stressed moving house even if not following this process so I suppose it is understandable, just hightened for me right now.

Mike decided not to go shopping earlier lol! Instead we treated ourselves to an Indian this evening and I must say it was very nice, Veg curries are something I will continue to eat after we finish this programme.

Now I must crack on with the packing this evening so won't whitter on anymore. Enjoy the football if your watching it!

Mike -

Usual morning routine today. Jack was up and ready for his school disco today and i got up and got ready for a day of closing down for a week before we move house. I got most of what I wanted to get done sorted and delegated the rest out while i am away. It's not the best time work wise to be having time off but this is a big moment in both of our lives moving to what we hope is if not our forever home our home for at least the foreseeable future.

Just after 3pm i left work and headed home via argos to pick up some packing tape and the second i walked through the door it was a quick hello to my mum and dad before they shot off and then it was pack pack pack in military precision. I am far more laid back and think it will sort itself out eventually and i do agree i am very much a "i'll get round to it" type of person. Liz, However is very much a "I want this done yesterday person". I lack the motivation that she has for these things.

This evening i have been tasked with packing the rest of the side board whilst i watch the football. I have asked that i don't get a running commentary of my lack of activity whilst I am multi tasking which for any man is a challenge at the best of times. I struggle to hold a conversation and eat at the same time let alone do something else whilst i am watching the football.

I am looking forward to the move and a bit of time off work but i know we have a lot to do before all of that happens. I hope me and Liz don't fall out too much, we have agreed that we won't take any of it personally and we know it's a stressful time.

Phase 2 Update

I have to say that sticking to phase 2 is still presenting a real challenge. Still not quite finding the right balance. Water consumption...
