Liz -
A busy busy day today. We woke up early (ish) and have been packing since! We are pretty much there now, although I have warned Michael I will be a living nightmare tomorrow (move day!) so he is fully prepared.
It wasn't till about 10:30 we realised we hadn't had our first shakes so we drank these whilst continuing to pack the kitchen. We seem to now be living surrounded by box after box after box. Moving isn't one of my favourite things to do so hopefully it will all go smoothly tomorrow. We have made sure we have left shakes & the blender out ready for the morning & these will be the last things to be packed and first to be unpacked in our new home.
I've also managed to hurt my back (for those of you who know me you won't be surprised i've managed to hurt myself somehow!), so this hasn't helped but I have felt full of energy today and just wanted to crack on and get things done. I don't think 2 months ago I would have had this amount of energy so this process has improved my overall health for sure. We had a veg curry for dinner again tonight, they are very nice and I think I may even order this going forward once we have moved to the next phase.
The good news is my bladder has got used to the full amount of water again today and it turns our it only needs 1 day of training from not drinking enough. We are going to try and get an early night tonight so time goes quicker and the removal firm will be here in little to no time.
Mike -
Today has been a very busy day finalising our packing and getting everything ready for tomorrow. I can't wait to move to our new home together and start another new phase in both our lives. By the time we are in and settled the first 8 weeks will be over and we start introducing foods like meat and cheese again. Today has whizzed by but we feel pretty much ready to go now.
Tomorrow Liz is going to be a serious stress head so i will need to remain calm and not snap back at her when she gets a bit grumpy. For the rest of today i want to enjoy the last evening in what was our first home together. We have had a lot of highs and lows in this place and it certainly is one of the nicest homes i have ever lived in. I will miss the view and the incredible amount of space we have had here but I am excited to start over again in our new home.
We have waited in most of the day for the delivery of the new bbq i ordered only to find that they had sent me the wrong one! How frustrating. They managed to send the correct cover for the bbq which i guess is half right. They have promised me to deliver the correct one by Wednesday as we have planned a bbq for Sunday so heres hoping.
Indian vegetable tikka massalla is what we had for dinner and oh my gosh its so tasty. I enjoyed every mouthful and it has joined my list of favourite dishes that we have had. I want to get a good nights sleep tonight so we are ready for the morning.
Carpe Diem 4L
