Where do I start! The last few days have been HECTIC! we have finally moved into our new home and we are believe it or not fully unpacked, photo's up on walls, beds built, new desk built, Jack's room completed & every box gone down the tip! I can't believe we moved in at 2pm on Tuesday & we are now fully sorted and living the dream in our new home!
We have been a little slack on the shakes - some days only managing 2 however I have made sure I have drunk my 2ltrs of water each day.
This morning I tried on a pair of jeans (that I thought would now fit) and it turns out my figure has changed a lot more than I thought, they were HUGE and Mike just laughed at me and said 'I thought you couldn't fit in any jeans!', now in my defence when I said this I honestly couldn't it just turns out I can now fit into a smaller pair than I expected.
It has been a very busy few days but i've loved every minute - mainly because it's meant I've got quality time with Mike which these days is very rare. I've loved setting up our new home together and working out where we want to put everything.
We had an Indian takeaway on Tuesday evening & my mum stayed over last night so we cooked the mushrooms with garlic, ginger and soy sauce and had a mushroom curry to go alongside this.
We decided as we had moved into our new home & due to Mike already loosing the weight he was asked to by his GP that we would start phase 2 of the diet 1 evening early. So today we had family round for dinner and had chicken and beef fajita's. These were AMAZING! Although right now (3hrs after eating) I still feel extremely bloted and it's made me feel very tired - or was that the glass of wine I had to go with it!
We have a busy weekend ahead and then next week we hand the keys back to our old place & I get to pick up my new car! So exciting times to come and i'm looking forward to having 1 main meal again per day for the next few weeks. I'm sure my body will get used to it again.
I'm really proud of myself for not caving in earlier than 1 day and am so pleased with Mike's progress on this journey, it's been s pleasure to be on it with him (although tempers have worn thin at times!) I want him to know that whatever the blood test results say in 4 weeks time I am immensely proud of him & the change's he's made in his lifestyle to do this.

So the last few days have been full of immense highs for us as we finally moved in to our new home together. It has been a very tiring few days but here we are and our lovely home is now set up for us to spend the foreseeable future building our dream home and family together. Tuesday was a very long day and starting early with the removal men turning up early and cracking on straight away. We were both so excited and couldn't wait to get over to our new home and get unpacking. We made a start with unpacking the kitchen while they unloaded the vans and before we knew it the living room and upstairs looked like a bomb had gone off. We couldn't see any possible way that we could make our new house liveable in the next month let alone in the next 2 dayy before Jack came to us for the week!
However, here we are and it feels like home already. Liz asked me when we travelled over here to try my hardest to be nice and get on with the neighbours, it isn't normally like me to do things like that as generally speaking i am very much a keep myself to myself kind of person. But with Liz's words ringing in my ears i can say that i have made the effort and our next door neighbour is one of the loveliest people i have ever met. I introduced myself in my usual manner and ended up spending Tuesday evening in the pub with him watching the England game. Confession time i broke the code and had a few pints of guiness whilst watching the football. I figured that after 7.5 gruelling weeks with no cheating and after the stress of moving a few pints wouldn't harm. And to be fair although i won't have lost as much weight as in previous weeks i know i am still heading in the right direction so i wasn't too down on myself over it.
We have decided to dip our toes in to stage 2 one day earlier than planned as we were hosting for the first time in our new home tonight. We stuck to the plan until this evening and then had chicken and beef fajitas for dinner which tasted incredible. Same as Liz i have felt extremely bloated since eating it but after 8 weeks it was worth it. The first leg of the journey is over and we will post the 8 weeks results tomorrow. Then it is a phased return to eating meals and living a more healthy lifestyle.
Carpe Diem 4L
